Will you be my Valentine?

Happy Valentine's Day! I love Valentine's Day...I know a lot of people don't (including my husband) but I just think why not celebrate our love for each other? Even though Justin doesn't like it, he still is always thoughtful and gets me sweet gifts. He knows I love chocolate! Given the choice between jewelry and chocolate...I would definitely pick chocolate! So this year he got me a huge box of chocolates, chocolate roses, and a wonderful card!

 Here's our cute little Valentine!
Here we see Myah reaching for my chocolate. She's definitely my girl!
This may have been bad, but I was eating a chocolate and Myah was reaching for it and looking like she wanted it sooooo badly! I put it next to her lips expecting her to back away after licking it (because she only likes food that is pureed), but instead she starting sucking it and pushing it farther in her mouth! Apparently she loves chocolate!
My parents stopped by to deliver a Valentine to us! (Myah's sucking on one of their gifts!)
Fun day!

Cake decorating

I love to bake and decorate cakes! I especially love to eat cakes...so it works out. I took a cake decorating class a few years ago-which I have always wanted to do. So now I love all the cake shows and I have watched all of "the Cake Boss" shows a few time each (thanks to Netflix). I've been doing cakes a lot lately and this was my latest one. I wanted to try out "drop lines" that I saw the Cake Boss doing (the hanging, curved lines on the side of the cake). It turns out that they are really fun to do...so I did a lot of them!

I know this cake is definitely over the top with icing, but I just wanted to try different things with the green icing!

Big girl!

We took Myah to the Dr. a few weeks ago for her 6 month checkup. Everything was great. She weighed about 17 lbs and was about 27 inches long (in the 90th percentile). The doctor told us to start introducing a cup. She explained that Myah probably won't know what to do with it yet but just keep trying to get her acquainted with it. I went home, washed a sippy-cup and gave it to her. Immediately she grabbed it and put it in her mouth like she should! I was so proud!

She's also sitting by herself now...most of the time. What a big girl!

These next two pics show Myah's favorite way to sleep. They were taken about a month ago and we don't swaddle her anymore, but she still puts a stuffed animal over her face to fall asleep. It's pretty hilarious to walk in and see her like this! (Don't worry, she's not suffocating!)
