ER scare

Late Saturday night I started having left-sided chest pain and shortness of breath. I'm a really healthy person so this was quite unusual. Justin and I joke that it would have been normal for him, but not me! It was still the same in the morning and I also had some nausea. I went to the ER. Luckily it wasn't crowded because it was Sunday morning...but if it was, I was ready to say, "I'm having chest pain!" and get right to the front! They took me back and did and EKG, chest x-rays, and blood work. While trying to get blood from my left arm, the nurse popped my vien and I passed out for a few minutes. After that excitement everything came back fine. My heart and lungs looked great, no chance of blood clots, and nothing strange in the blood tests. So the doctor thinks it's some inflammation in my chest. 

I'm still trying to get all the way better, but I think the anti-inflammatories are working. Needless to say, Sunday wasn't a good day. There were other reasons that made it a much worse day, but Justin was a good comforter and at least nothing serious seems to be wrong.

Cuter than a bug's ear...?

I've never understood the phrase, "she's cuter than a bug's ear!" Are bugs' ears cute? I don't even think bugs themselves are cute! Anyway, this video is cuter than...a puppy's ear (I think puppies are cute). 

We just love our little Myah!

Popsicle girl

Myah likes popsicles. Whenever Justin or I eat one, she goes crazy and we cave and give her a bite. This video's kind of blurry in spots, but still cute!

Circus performer

Myah's working on a little circus act. She's great at balancing things on her head...

Myah's other act is that she's good at having things stick to her forehead.

Shield your eyes...you might go blind!

On Easter Sunday we came home from church and started getting ready to go over to my in-laws for Easter dinner. It was such a beautiful day that Justin started putting on some shorts while I was putting on jeans. When I saw his shorts I got jealous and said to him, "I wish I had shorts!" He reminded me that I do have a pair of shorts and so I got them out...but remembered why I don't wear them often...my legs are blinding white!!! They pretty much look like this: 

 I explained to Justin that I've won all the whitest leg contests. He then said to me (while I started trying the shorts on just to see if somehow, miraculously, my legs looked better this year in shorts than they did last year), "It's winter! Everyone's legs are whi..." but at the exact moment he started saying the word "white," he caught a glimpse of me in my shorts and burst out laughing! ...That's a confidence booster. Of course once he stopped laughing he tried to cover it up and tell me my legs were fine...but there's no going back from that.  I immediately took the shorts off and put on some capris I forgot I had (I am comfortable enough to revealed my white ankles). I don't think anyone at dinner went blind from that...if you did, please don't send me your medical bills!

Sister Myah

Justin found that when you take Myah's bib off, it sometimes gets stuck on her head...and she looks like a nun! She doesn't like it very much...but we think it's hilarious.

Toyland!

One of Myah's favorite things is sitting on the floor with her bucket of toys tipped so she can get any toy she wants. It's pretty cute to watch her in her own little world, picking through all her toys. She'll grab one, taste it, grab another, taste it, and so on with every toy!

It looks as though she's scolding us for interrupting her toy time!
