This month

December is always so much fun. So many activity options and excitement. It has also been fun to explain why we have Christmas to Myah. Whenever Myah hears a song talking about Bethlehem she tells me, "that's where Jesus was born!"
So here are our pictures of what we've been up to so far:
Sugar Cookies!
Arts and crafts
Santa!

Quick story: Myah was so excited to tell Santa she wanted a "bikecycle." When we stepped through the gate after seeing Santa, Myah looked at me, very confused, and said, "where's my bikecycle?" She apparently had in her mind that immediately after she told Santa what she wanted, he would give it to her right then! She was bit peeved and her face said it all..."I've been jipped!"
Both in their elf hats they got from Santa.
...Sickness...
Reagan got a stomach bug involving vomit and diarrhea. Poor girl.
Then Justin and I got it the next week. (Myah snapped this gem of me.) Luckily Myah never caught it or the cold Reagan and I caught.
Elf!
We opened a family gift from ourselves. The movie Elf! We had to open it early, of course. We are so excited to own it and Myah loved watching it!
Gingerbread House
While in the process of making our annual Calder family music video, Reagan got stuck here! We had moved the furniture around to have more space and she couldn't get to her blanket!
Boo!

The Tree!

Last Friday we had a great time decorating for Christmas. The girls loved getting the tree all pretty!
Myah is a bit obsessed with taking pictures, so this one, the next one, and the stocking one are hers. Kind of fun to see things from her perspective!
Myah's job is to plug the tree in every day. Beware: Don't even try to take her job.
Reagan was AMAZED when Myah plugged in the tree for the first time.
Terrible bum shot of me, but Reagan was helping me put the tree skirt on.
We are so excited for Christmas! The family time, parties, good feelings, and of course thinking more of Christ. God has blessed us so much in this past year that this month will be the cherry on the top! It has also been nice to use Santa bringing coal as a reminder for Myah to listen and be nice! I think she's a bit terrified she'll be getting coal instead of a new "bikecicle."

M & R

Myah has been learning to write the letters and numbers. We're just beginning but it's so fun to watch her get so excited to write what she's learned.
Reagan loves to read books! It's so fun to turn around and see her like this when she's gotten there all on her own. She turned 18 months old on Nov. 23rd. She basically in the 50th percentile for everything and did wonderfully at the doctor. Plus she didn't need any shots...yay!
Myah and Reagan love their daddy! Here they were racing monster trucks with him.
