Great Day!

Justin and I had a GREAT day today! First of all, Justin got a job!! He'll be working for the state mail department and will be working the morning shift for the first 3 month trial period, so he'll be working from 3 am to 12:30 pm from Monday through Thursday and then a shorter shift on Friday. It will be interesting getting used to the sleeping pattern, but we think this will work great with his schooling. We are really excited about it!

The next great thing is that we went to a couple appointments for the baby...which is always exciting! I had my glucose blood test (which wow...that drink was crazy with glucose and I'm glad it's over) and then saw my midwife. She said everything was looking great! A little bit later I had an appointment for another Targeted Ultrasound since at the last one our baby wasn't in a good position and the tech couldn't get all the measurements. This one went really well and the tech kept saying that everything looked great and beautiful. Both my midwife and the ultrasound tech got a good shot between her legs and said that our baby's definitely a girl! We knew it the whole time, but it's always good to hear more confidence in the gender from professionals!

This is our favorite pictures from the 4D portion of the ultrasound. It looks like she's smiling and
waving at us in the first one and we think she's adorable!! I am so excited to meet her!

Easter is on the way!

I love Easter! I love everything about it...easter egg hunts, coloring eggs, decorating goodies, the warmer weather (which will hopefully come), being with family, and of course the celebration of Christ's resurrection. I always feel like a kid around Easter because usually these activities are centered around the grandkids and I always want to be included right along with them. What can I say, I am a kid at heart...especially when it comes to Easter! I am so excited for next year when we can celebrate this holiday with our little girl! I already asked Justin if I can be the one to help her find the eggs and he can hide them...he agreed.

I will be teaching the Relief Society lesson this Easter Sunday...which I was just asked today (3 days before). I won't have much time to prepare because I am working and am also busy with many other things, but I enjoy teaching RS so of course I said I would. Plus it's Easter, so it will be a good day either way!

Baby's Room

A few weeks ago Justin cleaned out our second bedroom (which was packed with all sorts of stuff) and set up the baby crib that his parents gave us. Yesterday we went to my parents house and they helped us move a dresser/changing table that used to be mine when I was little to our apartment. We've arranged the things we have in her bedroom and it looks so darn cute thus far! I love walking by and looking in or simply spending time sitting in the rocking chair in her room and picturing what it will be like to have her here! We also went and registered for baby stuff last week and it was so fun to pick out what we want and picture the things in her room. Justin and I are so excited for our little one to come! Granted, we still have 3 months to go, but the more we get things situated and the more she grows and kicks, the more excited we get!

What happened to Spring?

It has been snowing for the past 2 days and I just want to know what happened to Spring? I guess that's what you get living in Utah, but even though this happens every year, I still am surprised and put up a fight about it! Hopefully the weather will warm up soon. Justin and I went on a little hike last weekend up by Weber State University and even though everything was dead, nature was still beautiful...especially this river!

Baby Update

March 29th we went to another baby appointment where we had the Targeted Ultrasound done. It was a very in-depth 2D ultrasound as well as a little bit of 4D ultrasound at the end. It was amazing to see our little girl so much bigger than the last time and to see her cute detailed arms and legs! They scheduled us for another targeted ultrasound next time because the baby's hands were covering her face and she wasn't positioned good enough to get all the measurements they needed. You may notice the 3D picture us a little creepy, but it is still amazing to see her little face and lips! Next time will be even better because she will be bigger and hopefully will cooperate with us and be positioned better. She never has been...but we can hope!
