Christmas!

We had a great Christmas! It was especially fun because Myah was so excited and loved opening her presents this year. She got a lot of Sesame Street stuff, including a big girl Elmo bed (that she chose). Reagan seemed to like it as well and was cute like always.

Justin got me some great piano/vocal books and a massage gift card (I'm sooo excited!).
I got Justin the laminated map and confederate flag (which he's always wanted because of his heritage).
Christmas at the Calders
We went to Justin's family's house Christmas afternoon. We had a great time playing games, eating, and opening presents.
Rachel and Jeff organized Minute to Win it! It was a blast, as you can see with Katie and Nate in the above picture shaking golf balls out of the boxes with their hip action! And also in the below pictures with Sarah and Justin with panty hose over their heads! (There was a tennis ball in one foot of the panty hose and we had to knock over cups first.)
We also played a memory game that Justin and I made with family pictures. (I stole this idea from my sister-in-law, Jess! She does it for the Tew family Christmas party).
Myah, Noah, and Porter had a great time chasing each other!
 All of us kids.
Myah was so excited to sleep in her Elmo bed that night. But she only lasted about 10 minutes before she wanted to get in her crib. But other than that night, she's LOVED her Elmo bed! She loves the new-found freedom it brings. She does really well and just plays in her room until she gets tired and then goes to bed.
We had a great day!
The next day we Skyped with my parents. They gave money to us so we could get presents from them, so we showed them what they got us! We missed them this year, but are so glad we could still see them!

This year's Christmas video!

It's that time of year again where the Calder side made our annual Christmas video. The first one is our personal family one and the next is the combined Calder, Naylor, and Rohbock family video.

Little Mama

The other day I put Reagan in the toy saucer and put on Sesame Street for Myah while I showered. When I was about done, I heard Reagan crying (which I wasn't concerned about because she just likes to be in my presence; I mean, who doesn't? ...kidding). Next thing I know, Myah has opened the shower curtain and we have this conversation:
Myah (with very concerned face): "Where'd Reagan's binkie go?"
Me: "Oh, I put the one she likes on the shelf. But there's one in her crib."
Myah: "Oh, ok."
Myah left and a minute later came back holding a binkie and we continued our conversation.
Myah: "This one?"
Me: "Yes! Thank you."
When I went to see the action, I saw this:
Myah had given Reagan her binkie and was sitting right in front of her telling her that it was ok. It was so sweet to see Myah take care of her baby sister. She was sincerely concerned.

6 months

On November 23rd Reagan turned 6 months old (I'm a bit late on this post)! Even though she sleeps terribly at night, she's a very happy girl who makes me smile all day. She smiles all the time, loves to eat, and plays well by herself (or with Myah) for long stretches.
Myah and Reagan love each other so much! I love watching them together.
Reagan says "ma-ma" quite a bit and just enjoys jabbering as loudly as she can. She sits up by herself (unless she lunges for a toy to the side of her). She doesn't roll around yet. She's done it both ways before but hasn't for a while; no matter how much tummy and floor time I give her! Personally, I think it's her chubbiness! In the past she rolled better from her back to her belly, but now I feel like pants constrict her huge tummy so she can't bring her legs up to roll like she needs to. If it wasn't so cold I'd keep her pants off more often! I love seeing those chubby legs!
Justin's Aunt Ali made Reagan and Myah hats, bunnies, and a purse and we love them! Myah wants Reagan, and herself, to constantly wear the hats and gets upset when I take it off Reagan! They both look so cute in them.
Reagan grabs everything in sight and loves to explore it all. She especially loves remotes (or anything with buttons) and tries to lunge for the remotes from my arms when I'm walking past the couch with her...I have to hold her tight! Her 6 months stats were:
Weight: 18 lbs 7 oz (90%)
Height: 27 in (90%)
Head Circumference: 17 in (70%)

I guess I never learned...

Last Tuesday night, I was almost done with dinner when quickly touched the back burner with my right whole hand. It was very stupid of me but to make a long story short, I was checking to see if the right burner was on...and it wasn't!  It hurt SO bad for the next 3 or 4 hours.
I went to the urgent care and they put ointment on it and wrapped it all up. So I was kind of useless for many things. My mom-in-law was nice enough to come over the next day and help me with pretty much everything. So glad she was available!
I had to keep the wrappings on for 24 hours and when I took them off, this is what I found. It was so much better than I imagined it would be. It has since blistered up a bit, but still not bad.
The last time I burned my hand, I was 10 months old and put my left hand on my grandparents fireplace. I guess it took two times to learn this lesson! I love this picture of my beautiful mom and the awesome phone!

Clean up, clean up, everybody everywhere

Myah is such a big helper. She is always good to clean up, so much so that it hinders playing with any friends! For example, the other day I was babysitting a two year old from my ward named Amelia. Amelia would dump things out to play with (like blocks, little play dough canisters, etc.) and Myah would immediately start putting them back. This also happened at my mom-in-law's house when Myah and cousin Noah were going to play with Lego blocks. Noah dumped them all out and started building a tower while Myah started putting them back in the bucket as soon as they hit the floor. She even started taking parts of Noah's tower to put them in the bucket. As you can imagine, Noah didn't like that too much! I guess this shows how I'm constantly cleaning up our apartment! It didn't take her long to catch on.
Her job around dinner time is to set the table. She loves it! As soon as I ask if she wants to set the table, she says, "YEAH!!! Self (by myself)." After each piece I ask what else we need and she knows. "Pates (plates)," "fokes (forks)," "wata (water)," etc. She's always so proud of herself with every piece she puts on the table. She pretty much does it all and it's adorable to watch. Hopefully this helpfulness keeps up!

Reagan's first foods

For the past month or so I've been starting Reagan on solid foods along with nursing. She's enjoyed it and is really getting the hang of it. Myah always made the most hilarious faces with anything she'd eat. Reagan rarely makes any faces. She seems to have liked everything except applesauce and bananas (because it wasn't blended fine enough). The past few days she has loved eating her food so much that I can't get it in her mouth fast enough! I go as fast as I can and she's still opening her mouth trying to get to me first! Then with every bite she goes, "mmm." I feel like that when I eat too.
She loves her rice cereal and lately Myah has wanted to feed it to her. It's the cutest thing to see Myah imitating what I do when I feed Reagan, as shown in this video!

She's also tried green beans and peas but I apparently didn't take pictures.

Tew Thanks-Mas Party

On Nov. 9th, my side of the family had a holiday/goodbye party for my parents before they left on their mission.  We called it our Thanks-Mas party but we tried to tie in all of the holidays somehow! My sister and brother called it our "Merry Hallo-Thanks-Mas 4th-of-St Patrick's-New Years Eve-ster." It was at my brother, Bryan and Jenna's house and they did an awesome job decorating!
When we first got there, some of us went to ride Jenna's horses. It was a first for Myah, and she loved it!
I love Myah's face in this one!
 My niece's, Brenna and Morgan
Jenna has two miniature horses. Justin fit nicely on this one!
Myah tried to catch a ride with everyone, if you can tell in all the pictures.
My bro-in-law Dave, riding like the wind!
After riding horses, we went back to the house for our Thanksgiving dinner and our traditional Christmas games. My brother Brady flew in from Alaska and surprised my parents so it was a blast having him here with us. We missed his family though.
Brady serenaded us on the guitar (on the right).
The festivities hadn't even started and Dave and Brenna were worn out!
Jenna working on the delicious meal.

The younger kid table.
My siblings and I made a book for my parents to take on their mission. Each of us wrote a letter to them accompanied with pictures. It turned out really nice and they loved it!
They got a bit emotional over it...just a bit...
Playing the candy bar game.
My nephew, Jones, scaling the couch.
The white elephant game.
Justin's white elephant gift!
I got a Yoda stuffed animal and Myah loves it!
It was an awesome party!
