Play Time

Myah has come such a long way with her shyness in the past 6 months. She used to never leave my side, even when we were at our family's houses and we were staying there! Now she loves nursery, loves playing with her cousins and friends, and doesn't have a problem leaving me (which is so nice! It was really out of control before!).
Myah also still cracks us up with the things she says. I know she gets a lot of phrases from movies and cartoons and I think it's hilarious that she remembers them so well. For instance, when she finished going potty one day, I happened to be in the bathroom with her so she looked at me while sitting on the potty and said, "You can do the honors!" Meaning to wipe her...um...thanks! She got the phrase from one of her shows called 'Justin Time'.

Something happened yesterday that shows Myah's great memory. It was Sunday and during nursery we went to the primary room for singing time. One of the Primary counselors came and sat behind the kids in Myah's direction (there were about 20 kids so we needed extra help) so Myah turned around and said hi. The counselor said "hi! What's your name?" Myah said, "My name is Myah! What's your name?" The counselor told her and that was that. Many hours later...like 7 hours... I was telling Justin about how I was impressed with Myah's full sentences and told him about this experience with the Primary counselor. Myah heard us and said, "and what was her name?" I told Myah I couldn't remember. Myah then said, "It was Barker." And indeed, it was Sis. Barker.

Here are some pics of Myah with her friends:
With cousins Porter and Noah. (thanks for the pic Rachel)
With neighbor friends Haylee and Ayden.
Fort! (thanks for the pic Keeley)
Justin's sister, Katie and Nate live close now, so every two weeks we switch off watching each other's kids so we can have a date night (more like date afternoon)! The kids loved playing together when it was our turn to watch Porter and Savannah!
Reagan has lately loved to lay down and try to cover herself up with her blankets. She'll lay down, cover herself, sit up, lay down, recover herself, etc. for a long time! I'll come in from another room and just find her laying there with her dog...so cute.
Reagan loves Elmo now. We have an Elmo learning game app on our Ipad that has an alphabet song on it that she loves to dance to. When it comes to the letter C and D though, she gets so excited to see the cat and dog (an animal lover) that she'll touch the Ipad in excitement and it makes the app close, so we have to keep starting it over. You can see in the video what I mean.

Myah loves taking pictures. This was one she took of Reagan...besides the camera focusing on the couch, I'd say it turned out pretty cute.
Bedtime story (notice Reagan wearing Myah's boots. She's a bit obsessed with boots right now).

This video is of the bedtime songs. Both girls were singing this night.

Fort time at our house! There's something magical about a good fort.

Halloween!!!

We had a great Halloween this year. Snow White and our Kitty Cat had such a fun time trick-or-treating and Justin and I enjoyed seeing them having so much fun!
Earlier in the day we did some finger-painting with chocolate pudding. They loved it but it took some time for them to understand that it's ok for them to touch it, paint with it, and eat it!

Catch-up!

The past month we've had a lot of fun (and a few not-so-fun things). I haven't had much time on the computer to post due to the hard-drive crashing, being busy with the girls, and...
...Justin working from home animating part time for Schell Games!!! Most of you already know, but we are soooooooooooo excited! Schell Games is a children's educational game company. Justin is the second animator in this busy company, so they are so excited to have him and hope to hire him full-time in the (hopefully) near future. He flew out to Pittsburgh, PA the beginning of October for a week to get all set in the company and he had a great time! It's been fun seeing him at the computer in the mornings. Reagan has loved "helping" Justin animate!
Besides that news, here are some things we've done:
Ogden Temple Open House
Back to the Temple and then walked to Union Station to see the trains.
While having fun outside the temple, Reagan fell and cut her eyebrow pretty bad.
Ogden's Harvest Moon Festival
Reagan was in heaven by the horse. She LOVES animals!

Arts and Crafts
Myah and I have done lots of arts and crafts to occupy time. We are so excited for Halloween!
Best grocery cart ever! What will they come up with next?!

 Hayride to the Pumpkin Patch
 Park
 Perfect park weather
 Sad Time: Concussion
A Week and a half ago Reagan fell off the counter in our bathroom and got a concussion. She got really drowsy, started throwing up, and her eyes went crazy for a bit. We took her to the ER where she was (eventually) checked and given a CT scan. Everything looked normal, luckily. The next day she was back to herself except that it took about 4 days until she could walk by herself again. She was very tipsy on her feet so we had to help her.
We are happy to report that she is totally back to her happy self! We are so relieved!

Growing girls and Tew family time

The girls are just growing and growing! So glad to have these little girls!

 Giving daddy the royal treatment.
Reagan loves "going potty" like Myah does. She puts Myah's potty on the toilet and then tries to get on. When I put her on she grabs some toilet paper, wipes, throws it away, and flushes. One of these times I guess I should take off her diaper and see if she's actually going! Probably not, but she's got the routine down!
Myah's getting really good at drawing. Today she drew these faces then she painted some great ladders and airplanes (I even knew what the airplane was before she told me!)
Brady and Becky's fam!
Mid July, my sis-in-law, Becky and the kids came down from Alaska for a month. Brady, my brother, came down later. While they were here it was fun to get together and have all the siblings back together...we just missed mom and dad!
So fun to see how big their kids are now!
At my brother Bryan and Jenna's house. All of us, minus mom and dad, plus my grandparents and aunt and uncle.
 Some of the girl grandkids.
My brother Nate and Jess's baby Elliott got blessed. (Justin was at his cousin's mission homecoming.)
My niece, Katie, got baptized while here. What a beautiful girl she is!

Great to be with you Brady, Becky, and kids!
