America the Great

On Tuesday Justin and I went and saw a movie called Monumental. It was going to be a one time showing that played at the same time around the nation but it's actually being shown more times now due to great support. I heard about it on the Today show last week when Kirk Cameron (the actor from Growing Pains and Fireproof...not to be confused with the director from Avatar...totally different people!) was on. He was explaining about the greatness of America, how it became so great, and that he produced a movie called 'Monumental' that shows it. He was also asked about his conservative views (importance of family and God, etc.) and I was so impressed with what he had to say. This was not the first time I've heard of what a great person he is either! I told Justin about it, got online to research it a little bit, and then bought tickets to show our support and see this amazing film. Let me tell you, this movie was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! It's a documentary where Kirk Cameron travels around Europe and America to find the truth about the Pilgrims, what they were going through, and why and how they eventually came to America. It goes on to explain what principles America was founded on and that as soon as we've turned away from those principles, America has gone down hill. I can definitely see that and can also see that in other countries. He seeks out experts who explain all they know and also have proof (documents, journals, bibles printed and paid for by the government and other bibles paid for by our founding fathers, etc.)

I left the theatre more fired up than ever about our country and wanting to help us get it back to our founding principles. It's sad to hear about all these crazy things that go on that are now accepted. And that things that we were founded on (the biggest thing being God) is simply being taken out of everything. It's also scary that the Pilgrims were running from the government that controled everything in England (especially their religion and religious leaders) and that we are heading in that direction! It seems like every few weeks I hear about the gov't wanting to take control over another part of our lives.

I pre-ordered 'Monumental' for when it comes out in July...it was that good. We live in an amazing country that came from amazing beginnings. I want to make our forefathers proud and know that they didn't do all they did for nothing. I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for all they did for us and that they knew how important freedom is that they were willing to endure the immense hardships they did. Freedom is so important and we continually have to fight for it because it's not free. How grateful I am for the military who fight for our freedom today. Thank you!

B-day continued

A few weeks ago we had a combined b-day party for Justin's sister, Katie, and myself. Always a fun time!

A week later we celebrated with my family. It kept getting pushed back due to sickness in the family.

Smiles

Myah likes to "help" me fold laundry. She especially loves the laundry basket...she thinks the holes are so neat! Her smiles make me so happy!

I rarely put pics of me and Justin on here! We just have so much fun taking pics of Myah. We are still in love and loving our little girl!

Working out

My mom got us this bouncer that Myah used to love to just lay in and try to reach for the hanging toys. Now she grabs the arch and does pull-ups. She just loves working out her biceps and abs! The video is pretty mild...she usually will repeatedly grab the arch and then fling herself back. It's pretty entertaining!

My b-day!

I turned 25 years old on Tuesday and for some reason it is so weird to me! Not that 25 is old at all, but I feel like I'm still that 20 year old with no strings attached! I love my life, but it's still hard for me to believe that I'm married with a baby! I'm glad I am this person and not the 20 year old version though! I'm so glad I have Justin and Myah. 

So on my b-day we went out to linner (lunch/dinner) at Applebees which is one of my favorites. It was delicious!

This was the first time we had Myah sit in their high chair without the car seat. It was so cute and she looked so big! Later that night we celebrated with cake and J's presents.

 I made my cake (because I wanted to). I had fun with it.

 The confetti cake is my favorite and then I put a layer of frosting and my mom's strawberry jam in the middle. It was delicious!

Myah wouldn't stop reaching for Justin's cake and/or fork. She knows what she wants!

Teething & such

Teething is no fun! One of Myah's bottom teeth has now broken through, but all I can say is I'm glad I don't remember that part of life. She's been a little more fussy and the nights haven't been too great, but she's still a good, happy baby.

A few nights ago she threw up all over herself and her crib and threw up more times after I'd cleaned her up...I'm pretty sure that wasn't because of teething, but it was so sad to see her not know what was going on and that I wasn't able to make it stop. In between throwing up she still was smiling even though she was tired and weak. She was fine after that hour and slept well the rest of the night. She luckily hasn't had any trouble since.

Her newest thing is that she tries to clap her hands. Yesterday I would clap my hands and say, "Yaaaayyy" and she'd smile and try to clap too! I say "try" because she's just hitting her fists together and obviously can't understand opening up her hands while hitting them together...too many things to do at once!

Hill AFB Museum

We went to Justin's home away from home...Hill AFB Museum. He has taken Myah once before but this time I went with him and was able to get some pictures!

 Here we are in front of Myah's favorite plane...the A10! When Justin took her to the museum before, she reached out to touch this plane and apparently really liked it. This time she was fascinated by the machine gun on the front. She wouldn't let go! (Not a great place to be though...looking directly into it!)
