Baby Jack!

Here are a few pictures from a week or so ago of my sister and bro-in-law's baby. He's doing amazing and you would never know that for three weeks he was hooked up to tons of machines in the NICU. The poor boy had a few infections the doctors couldn't figure out, his lungs collapsed so he had 14 chest tubes total, he was having seizures, etc. Kristy and Dave were so strong the entire time and they loved him to good health along with all of our prayers. We're so glad he's in our family! Kristy and Dave have been waiting so long to be parents and now they are and they are amazing! 

 I love these eyes!



Reagan's 1st birthday!

Reagan turned one year old on May 23rd. I can't believe it! She is the sweetest and happiest little girl. We love her so much! (This post has a ton of videos, sorry!)

Myah enjoyed it though.

On Sunday we went to my in-laws' house and celebrated Reagan and Tyler's birthdays. Dinner and the ice-cream cake were delicious!

Reagan is crawling and cruising along everything. She has started walking with this little stroller and I had to share. I love the zombie walk she has!

I took her to the doctor today for her year well-checkup. Let me just say, Reagan is SOOOO much easier to take to the doctor than Myah! By 6 months Myah knew she hated going there and has put up a fight the entire time ever since. Reagan doesn't seem to mind. She's happy the whole time. She just stares at the strange instruments the doctor uses and relaxes on my lap. She didn't even cry during her toe poke or 3 shots until the last one. And when she did cry, it was only for a minute. It's a crazy contrast between Reagan's year check up and Myah's! Anyway, here are her stats:

Height: 30.2 in-80%'tile

Weight: 20 lb. 6 oz.-60 % (thinning out a bit)

Head: 17.7 in.-50%

Baby shower fun!

This is a bit behind, but on April 19th, my sister-in-laws, Jess and Jenna, and I threw my sister and her husband a baby shower! (Kristy and Dave adopted a baby boy who was born the end of April [a week after this shower]. He had a rough 3 weeks in the NICU but is home now and doing amazing!)

This video was taken on Sunday after church. I love hearing Myah talking about nursery and eating and seeing Reagan's cute smiles. A bit after this Reagan almost fell asleep while eating a Cheeto in her chair!

 You gotta love this happy girl! (Notice her two bottom teeth.)

Reagan has started waving quite a bit, but especially to Justin. When he walks in the door from work, she immediately starts waving to him.



Success!

This past week has been a week of success for both Myah and Reagan. Reagan learned to officially crawl (in the right direction) and she's getting better and better! It's so fun to see her going places easier.

Myah's news is that she is potty-trained! She loves wearing her big-girl undies and getting all the rewards! (I went a little overboard, but I REALLY wanted her to be done with diapers! I'll start diminishing the rewards in the next few days.)

 Third day-she's potty trained! She's done really well and enjoys going. She tells me when she needs to go most of the time and loves not having to wear diapers (except when she sleeps).

 When she filled out her first potty chart she decided the thing she wanted was a helmet! Our neighbor got one a few days before and she wanted one too.

Reagan like it too! Myah put it on her backwards.

Easter!

The kids are in bed, Justin's at a meeting, and I'm exhausted from the day. I'm in the process of potty training Myah and it's exhausting! I'm having her go naked on the bottom, except sometimes I let her wear big-girl undies, so I have to keep my eye on her all day and keep her occupied. We had accidents and success, so I'd say the first day has gone well!

Ward Hunt

We went to Justin's parent's ward Easter egg hunt a few weeks ago. Eggs galore!

We met on Saturday morning for brunch and an Easter egg hunt. We had it at my parent's house and had a great time!

 Grandma and Grandpa Tew came and gave the kids all these suckers! Myah was in heaven.

Calder's Easter Party & Hunt

On Sunday we went to Justin's parents' after church for an Easter egg hunt and dinner. Delicous! Julie bought matching shirts and skirts for the girls. Myah loves matching with Reagan so she loved it!
