My sicklings

Myah and Reagan have been sick for a few weeks; nasty cough, runny nose, fever. They were both still pretty happy girls, just napped a lot more. It was so sad for me to watch helplessly but they are all better now. During that time though, I put movies on for Myah because she didn't feel like doing anything else. This is a new thing! Myah never used to like to sit and watch more than 5 minutes of a movie, but now that's all she wants to do! I now have to ration the movie watching so her brain doesn't go mushy!
In movie watching position.
Myah watched Tangled about 20 times then dabbled into The Incredibles and Toy Story 2.
Things are good now, back to playing like normal...except that Myah asks for a movie constantly! Reagan loves playing with her toys, especially this cow. She loves chewing on his snout.
As you can see in this picture, I caught Reagan red-handed! I put Reagan on the floor to play with the diaper bag handles and came back to find a tissue torn to shreds! So Reagan must have reached into the back pocket, got into the tissue package, and pulled one out so she could make a mess. Adorable!

Miss Myah

Oh my goodness, I just love my sweet girls! They are each so loving and wonderful. Myah especially has me laughing constantly at the things she does and says. Mostly I'm just amazed at how fast she's learning and remembering new words and it shocks me to hear her say all the phrases I say! She picks up on everything. I'll say something and then days will go by and she'll say what I said all that time ago. Her memory is great. I want to start writing them down so I'll remember better because it's just so hilarious! Here are a few things I can remember:

Myah has a REALLY bad runny nose today and has tons of mucus and a cough. Last night at about 4 am I was nursing Reagan in the living room when I heard, "Blow a nose! Blow a nose! ... Wash hands!" I finished with Reagan and put her down and then got some tissue to help Myah. Myah was on the floor talking under the door (which is a usual thing for her). When she backed away and I was able to go in, she was covered in snot. Poor thing. In the morning, I was cleaning her up before giving her a bath, and she was telling me about the night. She told me how she had lots of boogers and said "blow a nose!" Then she said, "I sneeze on a door." And I thought, "oh, so that's what I stepped in."

When I ask Myah how her diaper is, she'll usually say: "It's probby (probably) good. It's just wet."

I can't remember what we were talking about, but I said something like "You're so great at cleaning up!" and Myah said to me, "I know it!"
Myah loves "fixing" things. She loves getting a screwdriver and trying to "fix" anything. Justin was fixing the wall the other day and Myah pulled her chair right over to help. So cute! She loves her daddy. She kept running to me in the kitchen and would say, "I fix it!" and then would run back to continue.

She loves to help Reagan. She'll help Reagan eat her puffs or help her roll over. Reagan will be on the floor and Myah will roll her over and say, "she did it!" She doesn't get that it's not too exciting if Reagan didn't do it on her own! Still cute though. They are both so wonderful!

Pre-Christmas activities

Cookies!
The cookies were delicious. Reagan was tempted too as you can see by the frosting on her little hands!
Playing in the Snow
 The perfect snow angel!
Secret Santa
A few days before Christmas there was a knock on the door and this is what I opened up to! We're pretty sure a family in our ward left it for us. It was so nice and thoughtful. They gave us a huge box of size 4 diapers for Reagan, a ham, oranges, hot chocolate, ...
...and this awesome thrown for Myah! It was so kind and Myah loves it and drags her thrown everywhere!
Reagan
Reagan is doing really well. She's 7.5 months old and loves food! She dives for anything I'm eating. The past few days she's started liking puffs and a bit chunkier baby food.
She's been sitting on her own for the past month and she's started rolling a bit more, but only a bit. She takes great naps and has started sleeping better at night. She still wakes once, sometimes twice, but that's loads better than the past! She starts in Justin and my room, and then when I nurse her Justin moves the pack n play to the living room for the rest of the night. I wish I could just move her to the crib in Myah's room but unfortunately Myah wakes and yells for us once or twice in the night too! Funny that Reagan's been sleeping better than Myah lately! Myah was our amazing sleeper for a year. What happened?! (We're working on it as much as we can with our small apartment and thin walls.)
Reagan is such a happy girl and I just love her more and more every day.

Christmas!

We had a great Christmas! It was especially fun because Myah was so excited and loved opening her presents this year. She got a lot of Sesame Street stuff, including a big girl Elmo bed (that she chose). Reagan seemed to like it as well and was cute like always.

Justin got me some great piano/vocal books and a massage gift card (I'm sooo excited!).
I got Justin the laminated map and confederate flag (which he's always wanted because of his heritage).
Christmas at the Calders
We went to Justin's family's house Christmas afternoon. We had a great time playing games, eating, and opening presents.
Rachel and Jeff organized Minute to Win it! It was a blast, as you can see with Katie and Nate in the above picture shaking golf balls out of the boxes with their hip action! And also in the below pictures with Sarah and Justin with panty hose over their heads! (There was a tennis ball in one foot of the panty hose and we had to knock over cups first.)
We also played a memory game that Justin and I made with family pictures. (I stole this idea from my sister-in-law, Jess! She does it for the Tew family Christmas party).
Myah, Noah, and Porter had a great time chasing each other!
 All of us kids.
Myah was so excited to sleep in her Elmo bed that night. But she only lasted about 10 minutes before she wanted to get in her crib. But other than that night, she's LOVED her Elmo bed! She loves the new-found freedom it brings. She does really well and just plays in her room until she gets tired and then goes to bed.
We had a great day!
The next day we Skyped with my parents. They gave money to us so we could get presents from them, so we showed them what they got us! We missed them this year, but are so glad we could still see them!

This year's Christmas video!

It's that time of year again where the Calder side made our annual Christmas video. The first one is our personal family one and the next is the combined Calder, Naylor, and Rohbock family video.

Little Mama

The other day I put Reagan in the toy saucer and put on Sesame Street for Myah while I showered. When I was about done, I heard Reagan crying (which I wasn't concerned about because she just likes to be in my presence; I mean, who doesn't? ...kidding). Next thing I know, Myah has opened the shower curtain and we have this conversation:
Myah (with very concerned face): "Where'd Reagan's binkie go?"
Me: "Oh, I put the one she likes on the shelf. But there's one in her crib."
Myah: "Oh, ok."
Myah left and a minute later came back holding a binkie and we continued our conversation.
Myah: "This one?"
Me: "Yes! Thank you."
When I went to see the action, I saw this:
Myah had given Reagan her binkie and was sitting right in front of her telling her that it was ok. It was so sweet to see Myah take care of her baby sister. She was sincerely concerned.

6 months

On November 23rd Reagan turned 6 months old (I'm a bit late on this post)! Even though she sleeps terribly at night, she's a very happy girl who makes me smile all day. She smiles all the time, loves to eat, and plays well by herself (or with Myah) for long stretches.
Myah and Reagan love each other so much! I love watching them together.
Reagan says "ma-ma" quite a bit and just enjoys jabbering as loudly as she can. She sits up by herself (unless she lunges for a toy to the side of her). She doesn't roll around yet. She's done it both ways before but hasn't for a while; no matter how much tummy and floor time I give her! Personally, I think it's her chubbiness! In the past she rolled better from her back to her belly, but now I feel like pants constrict her huge tummy so she can't bring her legs up to roll like she needs to. If it wasn't so cold I'd keep her pants off more often! I love seeing those chubby legs!
Justin's Aunt Ali made Reagan and Myah hats, bunnies, and a purse and we love them! Myah wants Reagan, and herself, to constantly wear the hats and gets upset when I take it off Reagan! They both look so cute in them.
Reagan grabs everything in sight and loves to explore it all. She especially loves remotes (or anything with buttons) and tries to lunge for the remotes from my arms when I'm walking past the couch with her...I have to hold her tight! Her 6 months stats were:
Weight: 18 lbs 7 oz (90%)
Height: 27 in (90%)
Head Circumference: 17 in (70%)
