Hyatt Hotel Adventure

Last weekend we had a fun hotel adventure! My parents had a free 2-night stay at a Hyatt Hotel and they gave it to us! So Thursday night Myah stayed with Justin's parents-and had a great time-and Friday afternoon we picked her up for the second night so she could go swimming.
This was the image I saw most:
Justin watching the airplanes out the window. Did I mention we stayed at the airport?!
It was a nice room with a big couch which had a pull-out bed where Myah slept.
Reagan was such a good girl.
Before we picked up Myah, we stopped at Memory Grove by the Capitol. It was where Justin and I had our engagement pictures taken 5 1/2 years ago, so it was fun to reminisce! The leaves were beautiful!
Myah was having a great time with Nana when we went to pick her up! She loved playing the piano, singing, and being silly...
We got back to the hotel and changed into our swimsuits.
Myah loves swimming, but it was a toss-up for her to decide what she'd rather do more-go swimming or watch airplanes with dad.
The water was pretty cold so Justin got out pretty fast to warm up and hold Reagan. The cold didn't seem to bother Myah one bit though!
Reagan enjoyed relaxing by the pool.
Our last night was a terrible one due to some intense upper back pain I was having. I forgot to bring any meds so I was nauseous and in pain but didn't want to wake up the girls by getting up much.  After 3 1/2 hours I woke Justin up. He went to the front desk and they didn't have any meds either! I asked him to give me a Priesthood Blessing, and after that, all the pain went away. I was so grateful! By that point Myah had woken up so Justin slept (as much as he could with a wildly moving sleeper) with her the rest of the night.
In the morning we enjoyed our breakfast and I took Myah swimming a bit more before we came home. It was a fun adventure but we were glad to get back to our house! Being in a one room hotel with 2 kids makes us appreciate our 2 bedroom apartment!

It's coming fast...

Well, in a week my parents are going to the LDS Mission Training Center and then a few weeks after that they will be leaving to go on an mission to Austria for 18 months! Aaahhh! I can't believe they are leaving but I'm so proud of them being so excited to spread the gospel.
Me and the girls have been trying to go over to my mom and dad's as much as we can. Myah LOVES playing there and loves her "gamma" and "gampa." Her favorite things to do there are swing and jump on the tramp:
Cousin Mabel came to play with us too!
Myah and Reagan continue to love being together. Myah loves Reagan's bath time. This time she even read her a story...lucky girl.
Matching dresses! Justin's mom is an amazing seamstress and made these in a day! Tons of people at church kept asking if I made them. I should have said yes and impressed them, but I couldn't lie!
Besides Myah's defiance sometimes, she is just the sweetest and most fun girl. Justin caught Myah writing music the other day. She loves playing the "pano" and is pretty good too!
One night Myah looked at me and Justin and said, "I NEED candy!" I don't know where she learned that! Then she went through family members that also need candy:

The girls & Thanksgiving Point

Sibling Pictures
Myah put up a fight most of the time, but hey, we made some memories.
Myah (not wanting to smile AT the camera) and Reagan. The second picture is right before Reagan's legs gave out and she fell....can you tell she knew it was coming?
So cute of Reagan...if only Myah would have smiled!
The aftermath of this quick photo-shoot...candy for Myah!
Thanksgiving Point
A while ago Justin and I took the girls to Thanksgiving Point to see the Dinosaur museum and the traveling "Tinkering" exhibit. First, we visited my sister, Kristy and Dave's and we all got lunch.
Kristy bought Myah these awesome glasses!
 (Notice Reagan in the background)
This picture pretty much explains our time at the museum. See the orange and purple orb on the right side of the picture? Orb = Myah. Myah was so clingy that anytime another person would come by us, she'd immediately run to me or Justin. A bit annoying! But we managed to mostly enjoy the museum.
P.S. Reagan has started rolling from her back to belly (Myah was belly to back) the past few days. It's so funny to watch! I tried getting video today, but she didn't want to perform for the camera. Hopefully I'll get a good one soon.

Stats

I took Reagan to the doctor yesterday for her belated 4 month checkup. The moral of the story is-she's a big girl! Our pediatrician said she's the size of a 6-7 month old! Her stats are:
26.1 in long- 97%'tile
15.6 lbs- 95 %'tile
Head circumference 16.2 in- 50%'tile
She really likes standing now! Of course she's just propped against the ottoman here, but no one's holding her so it looks pretty funny!
We just love our sweet little Reagan!

4 months!

The Reagster is 4 months old today! I just can't believe how much she's grown in those 4 months. She's now in size 3 diapers (she's going to be a tall one...no surprise there) and smiles all the time. She has started cooing a lot more now. It's more of a deep, loud growl. Or she likes to blow spit bubbles. She's trying to grab at things now and is constantly putting her fists in her mouth. One of her favorite things is to look in the mirror at herself and whoever is holding her. It always makes her laugh.
She hasn't been sleeping as great as she used to, but she still does pretty good. I usually feed her once or twice in the night. I love her soooo much and so does her daddy and sister!
She goes to the doctor next week for her checkup. I'm excited to see the stats.

Check the oven!

Well, I almost burned the apartment down yesterday! Not really, but we did have an oven fire. I was in the process of making peach cobbler and had the filling on the stove. I quickly turned on the oven so it could preheat. A few minutes later I noticed smoke coming out of the oven! I opened it up and there was one of Myah's plastic plates melting on the rack and on fire on the bottom of the oven. I turned the oven off and shut the door to stop the air from feeding the fire but wasn't sure what to do...throw water on it? I opened up windows and such but ended up calling Justin and he came home from work and helped me get it settled.
Meanwhile, Myah kept running in the kitchen, pointing to the oven and saying "fire!" We got our fans going and went out for dinner at Arctic Circle (because plastic is toxic when melted)! We cleaned the oven last night and things are good now, but it was exciting.
So as you can assume, Myah likes to put things in and out of the oven. Now I know, always check the oven before turning it on! It think it's cute that she does what she sees me do and likes to pretend she's cooking. I should have known to look! She also loves to be in "my house"-which is under the table:
She likes to be her own independent woman. She talks on her phone, eats, takes care of her doll, and just likes being under there! She's a growing girl...starting fires and all...and I can't believe it.

5th Anniversary

Yesterday was our 5th wedding anniversary! We dropped the girls off with Justin's parents' and then went to Farmington Station. We had an awesome dinner at Dickey's BBQ pit and then hung out by the fountains for a while.
It was a beautiful place and we talked on a comfy couch while enjoying this scenery! We had some great alone time and talked about where we think we'd be in another 5 years. Can't believe it's been 5 already!
