Mini-camping trip

On Friday night we went camping! ...backyard camping at least. We get together monthly with some friends we made when we lived in Ogden. We all lived in the same apartment complex. This month we went camping in the Haws' backyard. We had a cookout complete with s'mores and played ladder-ball. Luckily I brought glow-stick bracelts so we were able to see a little more since we played in the dark! The Haws' have a baby as well so we put them to bed inside and then played!
Justin and Eric in our cool tent we borrowed!
All of us (minus the babies). The Schultz's, Calder's, and Haws.
Here we are without the camera flash. At least the glow sticks were visible!
When we were all exhausted, we brought Myah out to our tent and all tried to go to sleep. Myah went back to sleep after probably a half an hour and seemed to sleep really well the rest of the night. Justin was so tired from being up so early and staying up so late that he slept pretty good too. I didn't sleep much, but it was worth it!
Sweet little Myah in the early morning!
Myah and Ruth had a fun time with this table-toy in the morning while breakfast was being made! What a fun little campout!

A real highchair!

We finally bought a real highchair! But when we opened the box, we found a Myah instead!
We've just been using Myah's bumbo with the bumbo tray (as seen in all the posts where Myah's eating) and putting it on the table for her eating station. I figured that now Myah is about a year old and can move herself around in the bumbo, it's time for an actual highchair!
She seems to really like it. She really enjoys the huge tray to play with her food on compared to her tiny bumbo tray. It's also a 2-in-1 highchair. The chair part removes from the legs and it can be a booster seat on a kitchen chair.
I'm really excited about it! You'd think it was Christmas for me. For the next few days after I set it up, I kept walking by the kitchen just to look! I had to rearrange our kitchen to make a space for it, but I'm excited about that change too. Change is always nice!

Father's Day weekend

Hopefully that cute laugh brightens your day. We've got some really cute pictures and videos lately (hence, all the posts today)! Our summer has been great so far!

We turned Myah around in the swing so the sun wouldn't be shining in her face, so it looks kind of uncomfortable! But she still loved it!

Exhausted after playing at the playground in the sun!

The joy of eating

I love to eat. I love the tastes, smells, company, feelings, and everything that embodies eating. This was actually a huge problem when I went off to college and gained 30 lbs.!
Here's me on the right with three of my roommates, doing what we did best!
I had to learn how to enjoy eating while not over-doing it and was able to lose the weight. I've had a pretty healthy relationship with food for about 5 years now. Anyway, Myah loves to eat, of course. But she especially loves to play with her food. She loves to take a bite and then put a bite of food on the table and repeat the process. (Notice all the food around her!)
Don't you just love all the spaghetti sauce covering her? It looks like she's just slaughtered a man!
This past week Myah has started making me laugh a ton when she eats. She'll tense up for short bouts (as seen in this above picture and this video). She just started doing this on her own, even though Justin claims he taught it to her!

Aunt Kristy, holy pajamas, and vacuuming

A few weeks ago my mom, Myah, and I visited my sister Kristy. She had surgery previously so we went to hang out for a bit. We had such a good time just chillin' and Myah had a good time with her Aunt...as you can tell in these next pictures.
Snggle-time before Myah's nap
One evening I put on some hand-me-down pajamas we got from neighbors. This is what we quickly found:
 These are holy pajamas!

Lastly, I would like to discuss vacuuming. Myah hates it! If I wait to vacuum until Justin gets home from work, then he holds her while she clings to him like a monkey that's being attacked by an aligator! Justin loves this time because it's always nice to be snuggled to death by a baby!
Recently I haven't wanted to wait until Justin gets home to vacuum. So I've been putting Myah in our baby backpack and strapping her to my front. She still hates when I turn the vacuum on, but she ends up calming down and just relaxing while I vacuum. It's quite cute! This is us after vacuuming:

Home, sweet home...

You'll never guess (kidding), but yesterday Justin visited our home away from home...the ER! It's funny how the first time I went to the ER with Justin in 2009 was really scary and unfamiliar. Now it's like going to our summer home! It was just a quick visit this time, and we knew it would be, so no reason to get all worried or anything. He left for work yesterday at the usual time, 3:30 am, and then at 8 am I heard him coming through our door. He told me that he was having really intense chest pain and so his supervisor made him leave and said he couldn't come back to work until he has proof he went to the ER.
It's nice they were worried for him, but Justin was kind of annoyed. The reason he was annoyed is that he's had intense chest pain at least once every day since 2009, so it's nothing new and it's not fun to have to pay for an ER visit you know won't help you at all! We've had it checked out a few times and they can't ever find anything unusual with his heart or lungs except the surgical marks on his left lung. Justin explained this to his supervisor before he left but that didn't change his mind. We knew they wouldn't be able to tell Justin anything new at the hospital, and we were right. They just said it's pleurisy aka inflammation...(that seems to be the catch-all diagnosis. That's what they said I had too).
I hope one day someone will be able to help Justin get out of this terrible pain. He's great not to complain about it all the time but it's so sad to see him in pain and know he goes through that every day. I also hope we don't have any more ER visits in the near future, at least!

Our good sport!

I debated about putting this video on my blog...but it is so funny that I gave in. Please don't think less of us because we scare Myah! We've always had fun scaring her a little bit and she has always laughed. This was a bit of a bigger scare (as you can tell by her horrified face) but she did think it was funny. Even today she kept walking around corners and started laughing with anticipation of being scared...even if nothing happened. She still loves us!
